Leasing gives you the opportunity to gauge your interest in and learn about horse care before potentially buying a horse. It's a great way to experience the joys of riding, learn more about horse care and responsibilities, and develop better horsemanship skills.  At Winnie's Meadows, leasing gives you free time with ¨your horse¨ to practice your skills, and just be.  With this leasing option, many of our clients find our farm and the time with the horses to be their ¨happy place¨, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Winnie's Meadows Farm horses are available for on site, or off site leases.  Inquire for more details.

 

Monthly On Site Leases; due on the first of the month. Must be at a semi-intermediate level (tacking/caring for horse independently) NO jumping without certified instructor (Crystal) or instructors’ assistant (Mike).  Strongly suggested for those riders on the SHOW TEAM, and/or riders who are expected to be jumping regularly.

Student open leases - (one lesson a week, or 4 lessons a month required, not included.  May ride whatever horse is available on that particular day/time)

$200.00- 1/2 lease - 2 rides a week OR 8 rides within the month

$375- full lease - ride 5-6 days a week

 

Student Lease (specific horse) - (one lesson a week, or 4 lessons a month required, not included.) Student will have first preference of said horse for lessons, horse shows, other off property horse activities, and lease time. 

Horse may be used by other students for supervised lessons/shows/activities that do not interfere with the leaser. 

 

*note- no more than 2 students may have a ½ lease on any one particular horse in efforts to not overwork the horse.  Riding times may need to be scheduled to avoid conflicts.

$250- 1/2 Lease- 2 rides a week OR 8 rides within the month  

$475- full lease- 4-5 rides a week OR 20 rides within the month 

 

*note-lease horse gets pulled from program to be ridden by lessee exclusively, 1 horse show a month required.  

 

Open/Adult Lease - (no lessons required, NOT an option for SHOW TEAM, or students under 18 years of age.)  Rider will have first preference for lease time that does not interfere with lesson schedules, and preference of off property horse activities. With open lease, rider has option to use any horse of their riding ability that is available for lease time.  Riding times may need to be scheduled to avoid conflicts.

$400- full lease- 4-5 rides a week OR  approximately 16 rides within the month
